Dear Colleagues:

Did you know the GLAC website ( www.afpglac.org ) has averaged over 1,000 hits per day during the summer months of June - August? That statistic truly caught me by surprise even though I am well aware of how many of you have contributed to the newly updated content and features, not to mention our talented Web Manager Douglas Brantley. And it reinforces the commitment we made at the beginning of the year, to increase Member outreach. Here's a brief summary of some of our latest additions:

These will shortly be augmented by the addition of: Membership Survey and 2009 Officer & Board Slate voting results, 40th Anniversary Celebration and Chamberlain Scholarship information. Join the crowd and check the site regularly.

I'm also pleased to advise GLAC is holding our own financially. In a year when that seems nearly impossible, we are cautiously progressing on the "plus" side of the balance sheet. This is a tribute to the current Executive Committee team in their continuing efforts manage costs while advancing our mission. And it is our plan to have a Chapter Financial Report given by Treasurer Mike Driebe both in person and in writing at year's end. While AFP will be increasing their dues next spring by $30, GLAC has no such plans.
