Chapter Treasury Fund
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Perhaps you remember my asking for your “drop in the bucket” to support the Chapter Treasury Fund at our last meeting. Perhaps you are also wondering why we are asking for donations to this campaign. This is the campaign that adds financial strength to the Chapter’s reserves and allows GLAC some discretionary funds.
One Hundred percent of funds collected for this campaign remain with GLAC.
Out of the membership fees that an individual pays to AFP each year, most is retained by national organization to help defray costs. Most of us don’t realize that only about $100 comes back to the local Los Angeles chapter for each member. Even when combined with the money we pay for luncheons and events, this doesn’t come anywhere closed to meeting the needs of the chapter.
But you can make a difference! By contributing generously to our Chapter Treasury Fund, you can help us be able to provide better programs with better speakers as well as to arrange better educational opportunities and offer scholarships to help folks from smaller organizations be able to afford the training.

At the bottom of this article you’ll find “Donate Now”. Click on the amount you prefer, then just pretend you are registering for a meeting and fill in the information. You’ll get an e-mail back confirming your donation to the Chapter Treasury Fund
or
mail a check or bring one to our next luncheon.
